Common faults and maintenance methods of electric vehicle adapters
Since the input circuit of the electric vehicle charger works in a high voltage and too current state, the failure rate is the highest. Such as high-voltage and high-current rectifier transistors, filter capacitors, switching power tubes, etc.; the second most vulnerable are the rectifier diodes, protection diodes, filter capacitors, and current limiting resistors of the output rectifier part; and then the feedback part of the pulse width modulation controller and Protection circuit part.
1. The fuse is blown
Under normal circumstances, the blown fuse tube indicates that the internal circuit of the charger has a short-circuit or over-current fault. This is due to the fact that the charger has a high failure rate of internal devices when working at high voltage and high current for a long time. In addition, fluctuations in the grid voltage and surges will cause the current in the charger to increase instantaneously and cause the fuse to blow.
Repair method: First, carefully check the various components on the circuit board to see if the appearance of these components is burnt or there is electrolyte overflow, and smell it if there is any ignorance. Then measure the resistance value of the power input terminal, if it is less than 20OkΩ, it means that there is a partial short circuit at the back end, and then measure the positive and negative resistance values of the 4 rectifier diodes and the resistance values of the two current-limiting resistors to see if there is a short circuit or burnout. Finally, measure whether the power filter capacitor can be charged and discharged normally, whether the switching power tube is broken down and damaged, whether the UC3842 and surrounding components are broken down, burned out, etc. It should be noted that because it is measured on the road, it may make the measurement result wrong or cause misjudgment, so if necessary, the components can be welded down for measurement. If there is still no such situation, measure whether the input power line and output power line are short-circuited internally. Generally speaking, rectifier diodes, power filter capacitors, switching power tubes, and UC3842 are vulnerable parts in the fuse fusing failure, and the probability of damage can reach more than 95%. It is easy to troubleshoot the fault by focusing on checking these components.
2. No DC voltage output or unstable voltage output
If the fuse is intact, in the idle condition with load. The main reasons for this type of failure include: open circuit or short circuit in the over-voltage and over-current protection circuit; the vibration circuit does not work; the power supply is overloaded, and the high-frequency rectifier filter circuit The middle rectifier diode is broken down: leakage of filter capacitor, etc.
Maintenance method: First, use a multimeter to measure whether each component of the high-frequency pulse transformer is damaged: After eliminating the breakdown of the high-frequency rectifier diode and the load short-circuit, measure the DC voltage of each output terminal, if the output is still zero at this time , You can be sure that the control circuit of the power supply is faulty. Finally, use a multimeter to statically measure whether the rectifier diode and low-voltage filter capacitor in the high-frequency filter circuit are damaged. If the above-mentioned components are damaged, replace the new components, and the general fault can be eliminated. . But pay attention: the output line is broken or open welding, virtual welding can also cause this kind of failure, and this situation should be paid attention to when repairing.
