  Fire retardant measures for cables

  (a) Apply fire-resistant paint on the surface of the cable.

  (b) Wrap the parts of the cable that need to be flameproof with fireproof tape.

  (c) The holes where the cable passes through the wall, the bottom of the plate, and the shaft are tightly sealed with refractory materials to avoid the spread and spread of high-temperature smoke when the cable is on fire, which will cause the fire area to expand.

  (d) Set up heat-resistant and fire-proof panels between the cable layers, segmented partition walls and fire doors to prevent the cable layers from combusting and expand the fire.

  (e) Wrap the cable with a heat-insulating and flame-resistant material. When the cable is on fire, the wrapped cable is isolated from the fire by the heat-insulating and flame-resistant material to avoid burning. If the cable itself catches fire, the lack of oxygen in the bandage can cause the fire to extinguish itself, preventing the fire from spreading to the outside of the bandage.

  The common faults of power cables are oil leakage, grounding and short circuit, internal disconnection, etc. For these failures, effective measures should be taken to make the defects be dealt with in a timely manner or at least not continue to deteriorate.   The main reason-pimple

  1. The phenomenon of pimple

  (1) The lump produced by the resin during the plasticization process has small crystal points and small particles on the surface of the plastic layer, which are distributed around the surface of the plastic layer.

  (2) The lump produced by scorching, there is scorch on the surface of the plastic layer, especially reflected on the surface of the glue joint.

  (3) Impurity lumps, there are impurities on the plastic surface, and there are impurities in the sliced lumps.

  (4) Plastic bumps caused by poor plasticization. After slicing, it is found that there is cooked glue inside the bumps.

  2. Causes of pimple

  (1) Due to the low temperature control, the plastic is extruded from the die before it is plasticized.

  (2) The quality of plastics is poor, and there are resins that are difficult to plasticize, which are squeezed out without being completely plasticized.

  (3) Some impurities are added into the hopper when feeding, causing impurity lumps.

  (4) The temperature control is super high, causing scorch and scorching lump.

  (5) The molded cover is not pressed tightly, and it deteriorates after being glued, and scorched bumps appear.
