Technical measures for cable fire accidents

  When laying the cable, do not damage the cable sheath or allow the cable to be mechanically damaged, so as to prevent the cable from breaking down due to poor insulation and generating arcs, which may cause the cable insulation material and the outer linen cloth to catch fire. All cable holes, such as walls and floors, where cables pass through, should be tightly sealed and blocked. In this way, once the cable catches fire, the burning range can be isolated or limited to prevent the fire from spreading. However, when the temperature of the cable trench and the cable is too high, ventilation should be paid attention to.

  Prevent long-term overload operation of the cable, frequently measure and monitor the load of the cable, take measures to prevent rats and other small animals from biting the cable insulation, and regularly check the cable head and intermediate joints. In case of heavy rains, floods and other special circumstances, check in time:

  ① Check the insulation sleeve of the terminal head for damage and discharge. For the terminal head filled with cable glue, check for oil leakage and glue overflow;

  ②Check whether the wiring between the lead wire and the terminal is in good condition, and whether there is heating phenomenon;

  ③Check whether the cable middle joint is deformed and the temperature is normal.

  The cable laying position difference should not exceed the specified requirements, so as to avoid the phenomenon of oil dripping, causing the oil in the upper part of the cable to dry up and inhale moisture, and the lower cable head will leak oil due to the increase of oil pressure. These conditions are likely to cause the cable to catch fire. The production of cable heads, cable intermediate boxes, etc. must ensure quality to avoid moisture intrusion due to poor sealing, weak welding, improper material selection, incorrect manufacturing processes, etc., which may cause insulation breakdown and fire. The cable should be laid as far away as possible from the heat source; the distance between the cable and the heating pipe should be greater than 25cm, or heat insulation measures should be taken. When working with open fire near the cable trench, prevent the fire from entering the trench. The cable trench should be kept clean and sewage drainage measures should be provided. If water and oil accumulation are found, they should be removed in time.

  In addition, we must carry out line safety inspections on a regular basis. For wires, electrical equipment, etc., please ask professionals to conduct a thorough inspection at least once a year, especially for circuits with long service life at the joints. If unsafe conditions such as wire aging, damage, poor insulation, etc. are found, they must be repaired and replaced in time to ensure electricity use. Safety.
